2) Implementation Checklist
Program setup
Identify an administrator sponsor and a club advisor/teacher lead.
Decide scope: after‑school club, in‑class integration (Campus), or both.
Create a rollout timeline and communication plan for staff and families.
Accounts & access
Use school email where possible; invite users to ensure private access.
Configure age‑appropriate settings and permissions per district policy.
Ensure staff have moderator privileges and understand workflows.
Safety & moderation
VerseLab has enabled content filters, keyword monitoring, and reporting tools.
Establish clear community standards and consequences (student code of conduct aligned).
Train advisors on escalation paths (school counselor, admin, mandated reporting).
3) Data Privacy & Compliance
Complies with FERPA and COPPA; configurable to support GDPR and local requirements.
Collects only necessary information; no sale of student data; no targeted ads.
Data residency via trusted cloud providers; audit logs available to administrators.
Parent/guardian communication supported; obtain consent as required by local policy.
4) Student Accounts & Authentication
Recommended: school‑managed email accounts.
Note that VerseLab Campus supports private Clubs - invite-only access to Clubs that can be managed by verified staff.
