You can link to this page from your Google Play store listing. - App: VerseLab - Developer: VerseLab - Contact: support@verselabapp.com ## How to request account deletion Primary (in‑app) 1) Open VerseLab and sign in 2) Go to: Profile › Account Settings › Delete Account 3) Read the confirmation, acknowledge impacts, and confirm 4) You’ll receive an email confirmation when deletion is scheduled Alternative (email) - From the email address associated with your account, send an email to support@verselabapp.com with the subject: "Account Deletion Request" - Include: your display name (optional), and a brief confirmation that you want your VerseLab account deleted - If you no longer have access to the original email, contact us and we’ll provide a secure identity verification process Parents/guardians - VerseLab is for users 13+. If a child under 13 created an account, a parent/guardian may request deletion by emailing support@verselabapp.com and confirming their relationship to the child and the associated email address ## What happens when you delete your account Immediate effects - Your account is deactivated and sign‑in is blocked - Push notifications and sessions are revoked Deletion timeline - Personal account data is queued for deletion and typically removed within 30 days - Database and file backups may retain copies for up to 30 additional days, after which they are permanently purged ## Data that is deleted - Account and authentication record (email, password hash, identifiers) - Profile data (display name, avatar, bio, preferences, notification settings) - Direct/private messages and personal drafts - Device tokens and push notification registrations - Reactions (likes/laughs) linked to your identity ## Data that may be retained or anonymized Some content you create may be part of shared or collaborative features (for example, public poems, club threads, slams, or challenges). Removing it can break the integrity of shared conversations or community history. In such cases, we: - Retain the content but remove personal identifiers and show “Deleted user” as the author - Detach your profile, avatar, and contact details from retained content Examples of data we may retain in anonymized or limited form: - Public posts, comments, and contributions to collaborative slams/challenges (author anonymized) - Aggregated analytics that contain no personal identifiers ## Data we retain for limited periods (legal, security, or operational) - Security, fraud‑prevention, and abuse logs: up to 12 months - Support communications (tickets/emails): up to 24 months - Transactional or tax‑relevant records (if applicable): up to 7 years, per law - System backups: up to 30 days on a rolling basis These retained records are restricted, used only for the stated purposes, and are not used to profile you. ## Canceling a deletion request - If you change your mind within 7 days of requesting deletion, sign in to your account (if still possible) or email support@verselabapp.com to attempt cancellation.
